Last orders: 11.pm ( we brits have quaint, pub licensing laws. ) The hostelry gives off a glowing light of bonhomie, so strong it penetrates all the dense forest around it. Being early evening, revellers, travellers, the hungry, the desperate, are dotted all over the forest, seeing the glow, and making for it. Ahead. The memory of succor and union pulling each one of them, weaving their way through the gaps in the undergrowth, the darkness behind them.

Nearer the destination, as the travellers get closer to it, they also get closer to each other. Sensing a fellow traveller, some are prone to say, by way of assistance:

'hey, I can see where the light's coming from! This is the way!

And inevitably the response is:

'I can see it from here! No this is the way.

Closer to the Inn it becomes ever more apparent that each is looking at the same light.

Our destination is the same. Our paths come from everywhere. All with unique departure points. The nearer the centre, the more they converge.bazrellahttp://www.barryandphil.co.uknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8327503256965023132.post-37906432390371287022010-08-17T07:54:15.656-05:002010-08-17T07:54:15.656-05:00".... pluralism, however, .... assumes we’re ...".... pluralism, however, .... assumes we’re all on different spiritual paths."

This, contained within your second sentence, is something that I disagree with.

I don't think we can establish this as a fact so easily. I certainly haven't seen it or felt it to the extent that I've seen and felt a diametrically opposed viewpoint.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8327503256965023132.post-65990546761420993802010-08-15T07:53:57.248-05:002010-08-15T07:53:57.248-05:00With equanimity, right? With equanimity, right?Kim Mosleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17658600791743162004noreply@blogger.com
